Malware will exploit all possible vectors to make its way onto your computer, including portable storage devices such as USB sticks or Flash disks. Connect an infected device to your PC and you may end up with an infected machine. USBWall, a security solution from Scorpion Digital Security, makes sure an infected USB storage device will not compromise your machine. It will protect your system from viruses, Trojans, worms, and other nasties that try to use removable storage devices as a means of infecting your machine.

The USBWall installation file is little over 3MB in size, which means that getting it off the web and onto your machine will take little time. The same can be said about installing the application. Just run the aforementioned file, follow the onscreen instructions the setup wizard presents, and moments later you will have USBWall up and running.

It will also take you little time to get accustomed to the USBWall interface. Access to all the functions offered by the application is provided from a pane on the left. Said functions are grouped into two categories: General and Advanced. The General category includes USB shield, Immunity and Recovery. The Advanced category includes Secure Delete and Registry.

USBWall protects against malware by acting as a shield that keeps viruses, Trojans, and worms from infecting your machine using USB removable storage devices as the infection vector. On top of that, the application can recover your system from damages caused by malware infection, securely delete drives, and edit Windows Registry entries. And the best part of all is that you don’t have to be a tech wiz to be able to access all the functionality USBWall has to offer.

Don’t let infected USB sticks compromise your system. Keep threats at bay with USBWall!

Pros

Little time and effort goes into getting USBWall up and running. You will quickly get accustomed with the application’s interface. USBWall protects against viruses, Trojans, worms, and other nasties. It can also securely delete drives, view and edit Registry entries, and recover your system. USBWall is freeware.

Cons

None that I could think of.
